One compact checklist per stage of a video chat, each step paired with the button that does it: how to skip, where block and report are, and what your guest session holds.
Where are block and report on Fachat?
In the menu on a person's profile. Block cuts off their contact with you; Report brings up a form asking for a reason and a short description of the incident.
How to use this page
By timing. Most safety advice arrives as one long list, which makes it easy to nod along and remember none of it. This page splits it into what to do before a call, during one and after one, and for each step it says which button on Fachat does the job.
It is about your side of the screen. Can the site itself be trusted? That is a different question, answered on is Fachat safe.
Before
Four things. A minute of setup removes most of the ways a call can go wrong.
Open your camera app and check the background. Post, certificates, a uniform, a recognisable view from the window: anything that pins down who you are or where you live should be out of shot.
Just a given name, or a handle, does the job. A full name can be searched in seconds, and a searchable stranger is a different kind of stranger. The same goes for a profile photo: choose one that does not appear on your other accounts.
What will you talk about, and what will you not show? Settling that in advance makes it easier to say no in the moment, when someone is being persuasive.
There are three, in order of speed: the end-call button on the call screen, closing the browser tab, and switching off camera access via the padlock icon beside the web address. Knowing all three means you never have to hunt.

These four cover nearly every bad outcome people describe.
Phone number, social handles, email, home town down to the street. Share them, if ever, with people you have spoken to many times, not in the first five minutes. If you want to stay in touch, follow the person on Fachat instead; that keeps the conversation where the block button is.
Not for an emergency, not for a ticket to visit, not for a "verification". The only payments on Fachat are coins bought in the site's own store, as set out on the Fachat free page.
If a call feels off, end it and tap Start for someone new. You do not need proof and you do not need to explain. The Fachat video chat page describes how quickly a new match loads.
Turning your camera off does not end the call. It gives you a moment to think while you carry on by voice or by typing, and you can turn it back on if things settle.

After
The call has ended, but three small actions are still worth it.
Open their profile, open the menu and choose Block. It is for people who were unpleasant, and equally for people who simply made you uneasy. If you followed them earlier, unfollow from the same profile.
Harassment, threats, scams, explicit content you did not ask for, or someone who looked under 18. Use Report in the profile menu and say plainly what happened; a screenshot helps. The community guidelines list what is not allowed.
For threats, extortion or anything involving a minor, also email support with the time of the call. The address and what to include are on the contact page. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first.
Parents: Fachat is for adults only. If a child in your home has used it, contact support with the details.
Your session
It keeps you recognisable to the site in one browser. When you use Fachat as a guest, that browser holds your session, and the session is what your display name, the people you follow, your free matches and any coins are attached to. Nothing is tied to an email address unless you choose to sign in.
Two safety points follow. On a shared or borrowed device, whoever opens the browser next opens your session too, so clear the site data for fachat.cam when you finish. And on your own device, clearing that data ends the session for good, so sign in first if there is anything in it you want to keep. How Fachat works has the fuller explanation.

No. The checklist is like a seat belt: you put it on every time, you rarely need it, and you do not spend the drive thinking about crashes.

Your full name, address, workplace, phone number, passwords and any payment details. Also be careful with social media handles, since they often reveal all of the above.
Open that person's profile, open the menu and choose Block. They will no longer be able to contact you.
Go to your Blocked List in settings and choose Unblock next to their name.
End the call and tap Start again. A new match begins, and the person you left is not sent a reason.
Pick the reason that fits best, then describe what happened in a sentence or two. Screenshots can be attached and make a report much easier to act on.
Not on random video chat. Quick exits are part of the format and nobody is owed an explanation, particularly if you felt uncomfortable.
Clear the site data for fachat.cam in that browser so the next person cannot open your guest session. If you had signed in, sign out first.
