About Fachat: a place to meet new people, face to face

Fachat is online video chat for meeting new people. You open fachat.cam, tap one button, and a person who was a stranger a second ago is live on your screen. If the conversation is good you stay. If it is not, you skip to the next person. And when you find someone you get on with, you can follow them and keep in touch after the call. That is the entire idea, and we have tried hard not to bury it under anything else.

It works in the web browser of a phone, a tablet or a computer, so there is no store download standing between you and a first conversation, and to begin with there is no account to create. Fachat is an adults-only site: every part of it is reserved for people aged 18 and above.

People who would rather see a face than read a profile. That covers more kinds of visitor than you might expect, and it helps to be specific about them.

Meet, then keep. The first half is chance: you tap Start, the site connects you with another adult who is looking for a conversation right then, and you two talk by video or by typing. Either of you can end the call, and tapping again brings somebody new.

The second half is choice. Following someone saves them to your list. Their profile then lets you write to them whenever you want, or ring them for a video call yourself, with no need to wait for luck to bring them round again. Random matching is how you discover people; following, messaging and calling are how a good conversation turns into someone you actually know.

Four, and most of what you see on the site follows from them.

A short list of absences says as much about a product as its features. There are no group rooms on fachat.cam; a call is between two people. There is no gender or country filter on random matches, so who you meet is down to who is around. There is no long questionnaire about your interests, and no promise that the site will introduce you to anyone in person.

Some of those are things people ask for. We would rather be straightforward that they do not exist than hint at them on a landing page and disappoint you once you are inside.

From coins. The first matches are free for every newcomer, and extra ones can be picked up several times a day from the Reward Center, which you reach at the top of the match screen. Past that point, coins buy further matches, direct video calls and gifts; they come in packs, each with its price on display before you agree to pay.

Looking around costs nothing: you can browse Who's online and read profiles without spending. We do not describe Fachat as free forever, because it is not. "Free to start" is the accurate phrase, and the Fachat free page shows exactly where the line falls.

Everyone on camera must be an adult. Harassment, threats, hate speech, scams and showing explicit content to someone who has not asked for it are not allowed. Block and report are there for exactly these cases, and an account that ignores the rules may be restricted or shut down.

The full wording is in the community guidelines. What we collect about you and why is in the privacy policy, and the agreement between you and the site is the terms of service. We wrote all three to be read by a person, not only by a lawyer.

Rules only go so far with strangers, so we also keep two plain-language pages for users: is Fachat safe, which looks at whether the site itself can be trusted, and a set of safety tips you can run through before a first call.

Fachat is operated by the team behind fachat.cam. We are not going to decorate this section with a founding story or user counts. The facts we can stand behind are simple ones: the site is in English, it is open to adults wherever local law allows, its policies were last revised on October 13, 2026, and it has one support address.
